What 's a bento?
"Bento" is a Japanese word that indicates a particular way of cooking food to take away, served in a tray or basket is usually divided into compartments, the "Bento" in fact. In practice, our very Italian Lunch boxes, in Milan schiscetta.
In Japan the presentation of food and 'an integral part of meals, and this is' increasingly popular' Lunch boxes containers in this fashion, that they also become true works of art.
As a lover of cooking and decorating, do not survive the bento-mania. It is now 8 years that I bring lunch to work (the tables are not even Dutch worthy to be called canteens) and I thought, 'why' is not fun to "decorate" my room, although they are often made from leftovers from dinner the day before? "
is one of the first successful bento:
rice with sauteed vegetables (carrot, leek, red beans)
bed of salad with olives meatballs
tomatoes and carrots in the container
dell'ovetto kinder I put a sauce of yoghurt and mustard salad dressing
(next to a lemon cake as a snack in the morning)
